Fr. Roshan Loy D’Souza, CSC is an Indian citizen born on 22 January 1980 in Mangalore, India. He is the youngest of four siblings, having an eldest brother and two sisters. His father died in a car accident in Kuwait, when he was eight years old. Roshan had his primary and secondary education in Moodubelle at St. Lawrence Catholic high school. He joined The Congregation of Holy Cross in 1995. Integration program (’95-’96), PDC (’96- ‘98), Pre-Novitiate (’98-’99), Novitiate (’99-2000), B.A in Arts (2001-’03), B.Ph (Philosophy,’03-’05), Regency (’05-’06), B.Th (Theology, ’06-’09) and also completed Masters in Sociology at the same time. He was ordained as a Deacon in Udupi, India, in November 2008, and ordained as a priest on December 10, 2009 in his home town parish St. Antony’s Church, Udupi, India. After his Ordination, he was appointed as the associate priest and administrator of the school at St. Louis Church, Mumbai from 2009-2012 and then, from 2012 to 2014 he directed the Formation program and vocation promotion at Holy Cross Seminary, Udupi. He also served as the President of CRI (Catholic Religious of India, Udupi diocese) 2012-’14. And then 2014 to ’16 he was appointed as the Director of Holy Cross seminary in Bangalore. He then moved to Toronto, Canada in May 2016. As a resident priest of St. Ann parish, he also ministered the spiritual needs of St. Joseph, Holy Name and St. Kevin’s parish Welland. During the year he also completed extended CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) program. Father Roshan was appointed as the associate pastor of St. Raphael Parish on July 01, 2017.
